The Syria Liability: Western Investment Cataclysm

By Phil Butler
Journal-Neo

What if you woke up one morning, turned on CNN or BBC, and a friendly face told you 10 families ruled the world? How about 20? What if one family had investments in every corner of the world, and money bet on every point of conflict on Earth? Why CNN and BBC would be evangelizing conspiracy theories if they broadcast this. We all know everything is Vladimir Putin’s fault, and that Barack Obama is all that stands between America and doom. Here’s the other side of this alternate reality.

People I talk to these days seem resigned to the idea we are headed to World War III. As messed up as that sounds, please consult your own network of friends and family. Our kids believe Bruce Willis will ultimately save us, or either Iron Man will swoop in an thwart the villains. In between these extremes real heroes today are either vilified, or they are “hushed up” because of the way the system works. Those who would alleviate the suffering of Ukraine or Syrian kids ousted from a normal life, they have been morphed into the bad guys somehow.

As an example, a man in Britain voiced his heroic version of truth over the whole Syria mess, and he got hushed up. Tony Clarke, spokesperson for the Green Party, flat out accused Nathaniel Rothschild’s Genel Energy of funding terror! Later, the politician and activist was forced to retract the statement made on BBC’s breakfast show. Here is what the party later released, pay close attention to the wording:
“The Green Party and Tony Clarke wish to publicly retract this statement and accept it to be untrue and without foundation. Genel Energy, in which Mr Rothschild is only a shareholder and non-executive director, is a producer of oil in the Kurdistan Region. It is not, and never has been, a purchaser of oil from anyone.”
Clearly some barrister crafted this statement for the Green Party to get out of hot water. It is true Nat Rothschild is “only” a shareholder too. If by only you mean giving BP oil spill super villain Tony Hayward the money to buy into the Turkish Genel entity in the first place. Amazingly, the story of a UK figure calling out the richest family in the world as “terrorist funders” has all but disappeared from the web. Google it, don’t take my word. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. I want the reader to remember something Russian President Vladimir Putin said before the United Nations not long ago, then we can continue:
“Instead of the triumph of democracy and progress, we got violence, poverty and social disaster — and nobody cares a bit about human rights, including the right to life. I cannot help asking those who have forced that situation: Do you realize what you have done?”
So the question arises; “Who really forced these situations?” Was it Muammar Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein who thrust their people and nations into perpetual war? How about Syrian President Bashar Hafez al-Assad, did he purposefully destroy his own nation? Maybe the chicken was before the egg, or vice versa. The fact is, the news tells us the superficial story of today’s reality. When George W. Bush unleashed “Shock and Awe” on Baghdad, the news revealed the bright flashes of light over the city for days on end. What CNN and BBC did not show, were the civilians dying in the shadows. The media told us coalition forces were barding in to overthrow a tyrant, and to find weapons of unspeakable potential. This was 2003, and around water coolers and in pool halls in America, we muttered; “It’s all about the oil!”

Then the news died down, we went back to work. And Afghanistan and Iraq became a “War on Terror” – Death dealing became the spread of democracy.

Tony Clarke is a hero, a hero who will never get his statue on Piccadilly. Rothschild’s barristers, or bank officials calling in loans here and there, they persuaded Clarke and the Greens to apologize. The wording says to me, that Clarke cannot prove Genel bought oil from Daesh. It also says Genel may well be making profits from this war. So for my part, I’d like to show you interesting information to this end. “Just who is making a profit from Syria and the Middle East mess?”

Turkey’s Genel Energy International Ltd, merged with Tony Hayward’s Vallares Plc. back in 2011. Funded by Rothschild and banker Julian Metherll, the venture’s success was partly dependent on creating a new “Kurdistan” to the North of Iraq, and in Eastern Parts of Syria. Tony Hayward you’ll remember, was CEO of BP, forced to resign over the Deepwater Horizon mess. This is important later on, but for now the “New Kurdistan” project is central. Here is a Bloomberg quote from Hayward when the announcement was made back then:
“These are world scale producing fields. Kurdistan is one of the “last great frontiers in the oil and gas industry, with low finding and development costs, and proximate to significant markets.”

“Proximity to significant markets,” this is what I would like you to consider. The map above shows the transportation sea routes to the various “markets”, as well as the relative oil reserves of the various countries. Part of the yearly reports on energy, the map is but one of hundreds of pieces of intelligence compiled into the BP Statistical Review of World Energy series of reports. These are reports that Tony Hayward and other high level investors operate and strategize from. The long and short here being, every aspect, every penny of world energy, every potential win is calculated by businesses that have more money resources than anyone on the planet. But let me move on quickly, to show you how a “New Kurdistan” or a “New Syria” plays into our foreign policy picture today. I’ll reveal more Hayward-Rothschild linkages later on.

I found a report last week about a journalist named Dr. Nafeez Ahmed, who asserts this Kurd-ISIL oil connection through east Syria and northern Iraq connects with Bilal Erdogan, son of the Turkish president. His contentions, based largely on claims from a Kurdistan official, suggest the Kurds are buying oil from ISIL. Perhaps Mr. Tony Clarke was unaware of the fact former MP of the Change Movement in Kurdistan, Burhan Rashid, is being prosecuted by the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) for claiming that KRG does participate in the illegal and illicit trade in oil with ISIL. To make matters even more sinister sounding, US officials have known about the tanker trucks and the illicit trade all along. Supposedly, investigations have already turned up a company called Meer Soma, a subsidiary of the Nokan Group, transporting refined oil products from ISIS-controlled refineries to Kurdish entities in or near Kirkuk. As an aside here, Tony Hayward is featured in this Bloomberg piece from 2012 christening a fleet of trucks from Kurd dominated Northern Iraq bound for Turkey. His Turkish-British Genel is the tie that binds 11 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and billions of barrels of oil to Rothschild and others.

Stop here for a moment and gather you thoughts. Exactly what manner of brainwashing has made the world forget that fabulously wealth and powerful families like the Rockefellers and Rothschilds, simply forgot how to play “hardball” with the world? We look on politicians like Barack Obama, David Cameron or Tony Blair as somehow controlling events. In reality, deep down we all know who pulls the strings. Genel Energy, Genie Energy in Israel, and other endeavors concerning ALL energy resources impact significantly everything that happens on our planet. Remember I mentioned the Iraq invasion being “all about oil?” Well it was, and I can make a case for these energy Titans having played a significant role. This Judicial Watch page contains links to declassified documents showing the United States Government’s interest in Iraqi and Middle East oil just prior to the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions, and prior to 9/11. There’s two sections that bear special scrutiny. They are entitled Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts – Part 1 & 2, dated March of 2001, 6 months before the Twin Towers came down. These were obtained by a court order according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and concern what was known as the “Cheney Energy Task Force.” We haven’t the space for 9/11 theories here, but what these documents do who is an intense interest in this region tightly targeting oil and gas. The reader will find the “suitors” listed to benefit from Iraq’s wealth interesting compared to who actually benefits now.

This is a very deep and complex study to engage in, the energy transit and profits discussion I mean. Let me abbreviate the voluminous discourse here, if I may. This Heritage Foundation study done by Ariel Cohen, Ph.D., it pretty much sums up the academic take on the energy war we see taking shape today, at least it shows one place the US got it’s Caucasus strategy from. The crux of that being, Iran is the key to the future of world energy, and the 1995 Iran Foreign Oil Sanctions Act (S. 1228) and by the 1996 Iran and Libya Sanctions Act (P.L. 104-172) had very little to do with Islamic fundamentalism or terror.

Then Vice President Dick Cheney’s so-called Energy Task Force reveals a preoccupation by some in the West with Iranian energy assets, Kazakhstan energy and infrastructure, and that of Russia. Moving forward, the Rothschilds and others were keenly interested too. So was the US State Department, the Pentagon, MI6, and every top energy executive in the world. The 2002 State Department map you see here, indicates there was planning going on in light of Russia’s and Iran’s positions for transport. Take note that Iraq or Saudi Arabian transit infrastructure is not even shown. Colin Powell was the Secretary of State then, if you will remember. Let me make a note, this map was also secret before Judicial Watch gained access through FOIA. You can guess why it was secret.
I outlined earlier on Sputnik previously the Rothschild investment and moves inside Ukraine. Other figures play at the periphery of these “investment conflicts.” George Soros is frequently associated with both Ukraine, and the Syria region via his associations with the Rothshilds, Dick Cheney, and media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who all bought into Genie Oil & Gas (not Genel, two different ventures) back in 2010. Looking at Genie for the moment, this energy outfit is a subdivision of IDT Corporation, a holding company of seemingly untraceable total parts. Tyler Durden over at Zero Hedge outlines some of the same information. Genie Oil & Gas has another affiliate, Israel Energy Initiatives Ltd (IEI), an Israeli company based in Jerusalem, which lays claim to 40 billion barrels of oil beneath Israel’s Shfela basin, which cannot be extracted owing to the environmental catastrophe it may cause. That’s another story of greed, I mention it only to cement the reality of Rothschild and other “fingers” in chaos pies.

You may also find it interestingly that IDT has been testing on US government land in Colorado for solutions to environmental hurdles to fracking shale. Look up French energy giant Total, along with IDT’s American Shale Oil Company (AMSO), and correlate all I have suggested so far, the investment scope is unbelievable, if nothing else is. I’ve also found Nathaniel’s father, Jacob Rothschild connecting in interesting ways with Hayward and Baron Browne of Madingley (who also had to resign at BP), and Cheney’s Halliburton, and News Corps’ Murdoch are part of some fraternal brotherhood clearly, but I shudder to say which one. If you want to dive off into conspiracy theories that may be true, this RT piece puts Colin Powell and Tony Blair together headed to the notorious Bohemian Grove affair. I wanted to mention this because Tony Blair was just visiting Erdogan in Turkey days before the Russian SU24 was downed. As you can tell already, the breadcrumbs of this “bankers meet terrorists” epic, they lead a circuitous trail. I can absolutely make the connections in between Baron Browne, Rothschild, Vladimir Putin’s worst enemy, ousted oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky. To his credit, John Browne, Baron of Madingly tried to distance himself from the notorious Yukos oil billionaire in the former’s book, but this is necessity in Browne’s position of power. This Wikileaks document recalls a Times article where the former BP head says Jacob Rothschild introduced him to the then powerful Russian oil czar. These people eventually met with Vladmir Putin to discuss BP buying into Russia. Browne had this to say of Putin:
“Regardless of what Putin stands for, he is exceedingly competent.”
Indeed. Rumors Putin told the New World Order to bugger off seem factual now. As for Browne’s description of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, it’s clear the Rothschilds would go to bed with the dogs, if the fleas they would take home had value. Khodorkovsky is a very nasty sort, both Putin and Baron Browne concurred on this point. But what’s telling in this WikiLeaks document, is the seeds of the mess we see sprouting today. At the time Browne and then PR Tony Blair made the BP deal with Russia, it was the biggest deal in the history of Putin’s homeland. According to Browne’s memoir, “Putin was impressive,” speaking about his capability to know so many facts, I assume. The deal, as it were, ended up falling through as Browne recounts Putin predicting it would. That’s ammunition for a further essay, but it’s crucial to understand that we are talking about very few important people here. At the top at least.

Today, it suffices to say these people fear Putin like a big Russian bear in the living room. I think the evidence clearly shows Jacob, and son Nathaniel Rothschild, have been working at last ten years toward a free Kurdistan (Google Genel PDF “Powering the Future of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq). It’s also fair to say, the implications in this are staggering. This venture will soon lay claim to not only a vast oil bonanza, but to upwards of 11 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, not to mention the geo-strategic and transportation advantages. Let me show you a quote from Tony Hayward on profits this year form war torn Northern Iraq, then you decide if the Rothschild’s and are in any way funding terror.
“The commencement of oil exports through the KRI-Turkey pipeline by the KRG was a landmark for the KRI oil industry. The ability to market oil through Ceyhan and receive international prices confirmed the status of the region as an important oil province, and revenues help to ensure a strong and prosperous Kurdistan Region of Iraq.” – Tony Hayward
Over two million little children are completely homeless. Thousands are dead, war threatens the whole world, and Tony Hayward and his company are having a oil rush of monstrous proportions. Nathaniel Rothschild and others have bet mightily on this play. And somehow semantics and profit is more important. Genel Energy buying Daesh oil is the point where a decent Brit has to apologize? I spoke with my research colleague, Holger Eekhof about this. His opinion was a strikingly bright bit of common sense. He asked me; “Phil, why would Rothschild or any of these people need to purchase oil from ISIL, they already own the oil?” I guess the semantics of “own” come into play here, you tell me.
